The Temple of Camazotz

The Temple of Camazotz sees the launch of the exciting OCLT (Orphic Crisis Logistical Taskforce), detailing a loose group of experts who investigate and counter the stranger things in the world that most organisations wouldn't even know existed, and plunges us headlong into creepy goings on in Northern Mexico.

The two characters we meet; Wendell `Mack' Macklemore, a multi-skilled computer systems whizz with an eye for strange goings-on and a computer program for every eventuality, and Geoffrey Bullfinch the eccentric folklorist with a penchant for danger and tweed,, are both cleverly written and curious characters that drive the adventure along.

Exploring what seems to be the return of a particularly nasty bat-headed god, our two must battle superstition, corruption and downright terror as they search for the long-lost Temple and uncover the gruesome mystery behind the headless bodies that have turned up all over the area.
With a climax that hints at the fantastical and mysterious direction the series is likely to take, the Temple of Camazotz is a gripping Novella that will have you hungry for more in the series.

If you like this one, check out the first full-length novel in the series, written by David, The Parting, or the other currently released Novella, Brought to Light (written by Aaron Rosenberg).
